  • Update from my urban garden

    I wanted to write a little update on my garden. My tomato plant has been providing me with amazing gifts of joy. Tonight I am heading to Honduras to visit my friend at Tegu toy company. (They make beautiful socially-conscious magnetic blocks for children.) I had two very ripe tomatoes that I wanted to eat before I left, so here is the amazing result.  Added a little olive and sea salt. Dinner!

  • First fruits of my labor (or as we normally refer to them - tomatoes)!

    Happy Tuesday all!!! I hope you are enjoying your summer as much and I am. My little garden has birthed its first tomatoes and I couldn't be more proud. Our friend Jeremiah (who is a master chef - seriously) was over Sunday night for cheese and wine, so we picked the ripe tomatoes and ate them with a dash of salt! So wonderful!   • Urban Garden update & the 4th of July!

    Well, I am so excited to announce I have my first RED tomato! Just in time for all the 4th of July celebrations (and boy was my neighborhood hopping with fireworks last night)!   First, the garden and then fireworks! This guy just turned red on the 4th of July. Want to give him a few days to vine ripen and then it's down in my belly with a little olive oil and salt! My husband and I had this wonderful basil mixed in with burrata (fresh Italian cheese, made from mozzarella and cream). We put it on fresh garlic bread and it was amazing. Last...

    We launched the site a week ago today and we have had an overwhelmingly positive response. I am excited for this new adventure and I am excited to see where it will lead.
